Meetings are, in part, to coordinate educational opportunities and technical assistance through workshops and demonstration projects.

NWWG meets the third Wednesday of every month from 4:30-6PM at the Navarro River Resource Center. All are welcome!

Facilitation

The Role of the Facilitator

The facilitator provides a neutral voice, manages group dynamics and accomplishes the agenda by:
  • Managing the time
  • Managing the order in which people speak
  • Ensuring that group agreements are kept

Agendas

  • Send agendas out one week ahead of the meeting date
  • Send out supporting materials when available
  • Should include a brief description of each agenda item
  • Include a time frame for each item (10 minutes, etc.)
  • Distinguish between agenda items for discussion and action items

NWWG Guidelines for Conduct

  • Check egos at the door
  • Respect each other’s time
  • No cross-talk
  • No side conversations
  • Respect the speaker without interruptions
